Stringvision Bowgrip

$ 10.00 - $ 50.00

Welcome to the Stringvision Bowgrip.

Carefully designed as an elegant anti-fatigue bow covering for the string player, this new product also takes the hassle out of teaching students a good bowgrip. One size will fit over smaller violin bows as well!

The bowgrip’s thumb indent allows curved and comfortable thumb placement. One model stretches over a violin, viola, or cello bow without removing the frog (see installation pictures down the right side, or click on the video below)

The grip’s clear composition allows for the bow itself to be seen and appreciated. This product will protect your bow from wear, and since the bottom corner of the frog is covered by the grip, this will also help avoid minor nicks to the bouts of the instrument.

If you like this product enough to share it, please stock up! We’ve extended our volume discount to any string player or educator who would like to sell or distribute these.

Here are some of our recent testimonials:

I love the new grips for both pedagogical purposes and as an orchestral musician. In the past I used pencil grips or rubber tubing for students, but find the Stringvision grips less cumbersome and easier to use. I appreciate the fact that it is not necessary to dissamble the bow to mount the grip and how easily it is to put the grip on the bow. The thumb rest is really practical as it “gives” so that that students feel the bow but also know exactly where to place the thumb! It is excellent for beginners or those who struggle with relaxing their thumbs on the bow.

The bowgrips are a wonderful solution to the problem of bow arm fatigue and stress, especially for young players, which becomes a deterrent to consistent practicing. You have addressed the problem of tension in the thumb by providing it with a gentle cushion. I had for many years tried to solve this problem with surgical tubing, which, of course, can damage the bow, and only provided marginal comfort. Your bowgrip is gentle to the hand and the bow. Congratulations, and Thank You!

The Stringvision bowgrip is the perfect solution for working with beginning students because it encourages a soft and flexible contact with the hand on the bow. It makes the bow more comfortable to use and even can help with proper placement of the thumb.

I have enjoyed the bowgrip immensely! Those students who were struggling with their bowgrips improved their grip by 100% after using the Stringvision Bowgrip. New students developed excellent bowgrips from the very beginning. No more lost class time reviewing bowgrips over and over. I now require my beginning students to purchase them as part of their supplies. Thank you Stringvision for creating such a great instructional tool!

I tried the Stringvision Bowgrip after receiving a free sample through my ASTA membership. As a cellist who practices daily and performs in a quartet which often plays lengthy gigs, I found the Stringvision Bowgrip to be a wonderful innovation. It has allowed me to play my cello for much longer time periods without the discomfort of bowgrip fatigue. Several of my advanced cello students have also found the Stringvision Bowgrip to be very helpful in allowing them to practice longer and with greater success.
