This Preamp is the best we’ve found for use with the Stringvision Pickup.
It’s small enoungh (2.75”x2.75”x1.75”) to fit in your case with the pickup, and the sound is very good. This unit contains circuitry that is musical sounding, rather than microelectronics, so the sound is less “processed”. Includes volume control and 3 band EQ. 1/4” in will come from cable included with the Stringvision Pickup, and 1/4” out will go to mixer, amplifier, or direct box.
As a pickup owner it will be very important to own a preamp that matches well with your pickup. While there are many devices you can plug into without a preamp, owning this unit will ensure that you can show up anywhere and plug into anything to get a decent sound. For the working musician, this is very important.
When you receive the preamp, have a couple 9 volt batteries on hand, and a small screwdriver to open the unit.
